PROJECTRe:Do – strengthening cultural and creative industries in Västernorrland

The Re:Do project aims to strengthen cultural and creative businesses in Västernorrland.

The project brings together business development, cross-sector innovation, cultural heritage, and current research to create new structures, collaborations, and opportunities for creative companies to develop sustainable business models. The project aims to contribute to a more diversified business sector, more sustainable companies, and strengthened regional attractiveness.

The project creates meeting places and development processes where creators meet industry, business, and public actors. Here, ideas are tested, prototypes are developed, and new solutions are formed at the intersection of creativity, technology, culture, and sustainability. Cultural heritage is integrated as an active resource for innovation, identity, and place development.

Re:Do is being implemented by BizMaker in collaboration with Västernorrlands Museum and Innovationsbolaget, in cooperation with several municipalities in Västernorrland and Mid Sweden University. Together, we are strengthening the conditions for creative expertise to contribute fully to the region's future development.

Project period: September 2025 – August 2028
Funding bodies: European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), Region Västernorrland, Sundsvall, Härnösand, Ånge, Örnsköldsvik, and Kramfors municipalities, and Mid Sweden University.
