Anecdote makes it easy to build apps - JA company launches Härnta city guide

With the help of the Anekdotes platform, Elvira Utterström, Emma Arenlind and Linnea Sundin have developed the app Härnta, which collects everything that happens in Härnösand. The platform makes it possible to quickly realize their app without needing technical skills.

The idea for Härnta was born when Emma, who worked at First Hotel during the summer, noticed that tourists often asked for a single platform for the city's events and offers. With experience from entrepreneurship courses and a strong desire to start their own business, the three students saw an opportunity to create something unique for their city.

- We wanted to showcase the best of Härnösand and create a vibrant platform where both residents and visitors can discover the city's offerings, says Elvira Utterström.

Unlike traditional app development, which often requires both technical expertise and large budgets, the Anecdote platform has made the process smooth.

- It's a very good template to build on. We have learned a lot along the way, received continuous feedback and also been able to give feedback to Anekdote, says Linnea Sundin.

- Building an app usually takes a long time and is costly. Our platform makes it easier for more people to develop their ideas without needing technical knowledge," says Per Vikström, CEO of Anekdote.

By using Anecdote's templates and features, the team was able to quickly test the design and structure of the app. The flexibility of the platform has made it easy to continuously update and adapt Härnta to the needs of the users.

- Just start testing. We have learned a lot along the way," says Emma Arenlid.

Great success in a short time

The app has quickly become popular. With over 1000 downloads, Härnta is used daily by both Härnösand residents and visitors to find events, lunch offers and local news. The ability to add comments and like posts also helps to create a vibrant community.

- "We have received a lot of positive feedback and it feels great to see that our idea really fills a need," says Linnea Sundin.

Anekdote sees great potential in similar initiatives and hopes that more entrepreneurs will be inspired by Härnta to take the plunge and build their own apps.

- "Our platform is constantly evolving, with new functionalities being added as we go along, making it easy for anyone to build their own community app," says Per Vikström.
