Tregion Startup Invest is strengthening the financing opportunities for startups in Västernorrland by launching its second fund. The fund is aimed at entrepreneurs and business angels who want to get involved in supporting the companies of the future with capital, experience and networks.
With a rapidly evolving national funding system and several regions gearing up for the future, it is more important than ever that Västernorrland also offers strong conditions for growth. Tregion Startup Invest's new fund aims to continue supporting startups in Dalarna, Gävleborg and Västernorrland.
The fund is aimed at entrepreneurs and investors who want to contribute to the next generation of startups, not only with capital but also with experience and knowledge.
- This is an opportunity for entrepreneurs to invest in and mentor other entrepreneurs, as well as share experiences from their own entrepreneurial journey," says Erica Markusson, Funding Advisor at BizMaker.
Since its launch in January 2022, Tregion Startup Invest has already invested in eleven startups from the three regions. In addition to funding, Tregion also offers a strong network, skills exchange and matching with the right investors. The aim is to spread the capital outside the metropolitan areas and thus give more companies the opportunity to grow and succeed.
- By moving capital to the regions, we are creating stronger, more diversified ecosystems where more businesses can flourish," said Erica.
