Accessibility statementDigitalaccessibility

We want everyone to be able to use our website.
That's why we are actively working to make our content more accessible and easy to use. Our ambition is to follow the international guidelines for accessibility (WCAG 2.1 level AA), which help us to create a website that works for as many people as possible.

By clicking on the black symbol in the bottom right corner, you can choose how the page is displayed and experienced. This way you can take part in our offers, activities and stories in the way that suits you best.

The goal is to give you a good experience here, whether you have a visual impairment, motor limitations or just want a simple and smooth way to access the information.

What is DIGITAL ACCESSIBILITY?

Digital accessibility means that everyone should be able to use a website or digital service, regardless of their circumstances. This means, for example, that information should be accessible to people with visual, hearing or other disabilities.

Accessibility engineers

The website uses several advanced technologies to ensure optimal accessibility at all times. Our flexible interface allows users with special needs to customize the experience and design to suit their own circumstances. We also use an AI-based application that continuously optimizes the site's accessibility level by adjusting HTML, functionality and behaviours - both for screen readers and keyboard navigation.

If you notice any problems or have suggestions for improvement, we welcome your feedback by e-mail to josefin.jaen@bizmaker.se.

Screen reader and keyboard navigation

To ensure that blind users can read, understand and interact with the website, we use Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA) attributes and other technologies. When a screen reader is activated, the user is prompted to select a specific profile adapted for screen readers, enabling efficient navigation. Here are some of our main features and optimizations:

Optimization for screen readers
We use a process that learns the structure of the site from top to bottom, ensuring ongoing compliance - even during updates.

This process:
● Scans the website and provides screen readers with meaningful information via ARIA attributes.
Ensures correct labeling of form fields.
Provides descriptions for interactive icons (e.g. social media, search, shopping cart, etc.).
● Provides guidance for form validation.
Assigns the correct roles to elements (e.g. buttons, menus, modal windows/popups).

In addition, the background process scans all images and generates accurate, AI-driven descriptions (ALT texts) for missing images. It can also extract text from images using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology and automatically inform users of interface changes, such as interactive pop-ups. This ensures compatibility with screen reader programs such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver and TalkBack.

Optimization for keyboard navigation
By adapting the HTML of the website and integrating JavaScript features, we enable full keyboard-only navigation.

Features include:
● Navigating using the Tab and Shift+Tabkeys
● Using drop-down menus with the arrow keys
● Closing menus or dialog boxes with Esc
● Activating buttons and links with Enter
● Switching between radio buttons and checkboxes with arrow keys
● Filling in forms with space or Enter

Navigation profile for users with motor disabilities
This profile enables users with motor disabilities to navigate the entire website with the keyboard.

Using Tab, Shift+Tab and Enter, as well as shortcuts such as:
● "M" for menus
● "H" for headings
● "F" for forms
● "B" for buttons
● "G" for graphics
, users can quickly jump to specific parts of the content.

Further adjustments to interface, design and readability

Font adjustments
Users can increase or decrease text size, change fonts, and adjust line spacing, text alignment and line spacing as needed.

Color adjustments
There are several different contrast profiles to choose from (light, dark, inverted, monochrome), as well as the ability to customize color schemes for headings, text and backgrounds - with over seven different options.

Animations
To reduce discomfort for people with epilepsy, for example, all animations can be stopped with a click. This includes videos, GIFs and flashing CSS effects.

Content highlighting
Key elements such as links and headings can be highlighted for easier navigation or displayed only when in focus.

Audio mute
Automatic audio playback can be turned off - especially important for users with hearing aids.

Support for cognitive disabilities
An integrated search engine linked to Wikipedia and Wiktionary helps users understand the meaning of phrases, abbreviations and slang expressions.

Additional features
Users can also change the color and size of the cursor, use print mode, activate a virtual keyboard and much more.

Compatibility with assistive technologies and browsers

We aim to support as many browsers and assistive technologies as possible, so that you can use the tools that suit you best with as few restrictions as possible.

We have therefore worked to ensure support for the major systems which together represent over 95% of the market, including:
● Google Chrome
● Mozilla Firefox
● Apple Safari
● Opera
● Microsoft Edge
● Screen readers such as JAWS and NVDA for both Windows and Mac

Views, comments and feedback

Despite our extensive efforts to make this website as accessible as possible, some pages or sections may still be partially inaccessible, under development or lacking a complete technical solution. We are continuously working to implement new features, update existing solutions and integrate new technologies - all with the aim of constantly improving the accessibility of the website.
