Forest industry gathers at the premiere of Forest Meetup

After eight rounds of the Forest Business Accelerator, BizMaker invited forest industry players and startups to the premiere of the Forest Meetup. The event became a meeting place to exchange experiences, make contacts and explore future innovations in the forest and industrial sector.

Over the eight rounds of the accelerator, BizMaker has partnered with many promising startups that are today leading innovation and developing solutions for a sustainable future. The experience has shown how important it is to create forums where startups and potential partners can meet and share insights.

- "We have seen a great need for a platform where we can meet, exchange experiences and make new contacts. It feels important to get together on a common day, and it is fantastic that we now finally have the opportunity to do so, says Pelle Berglund, business advisor at BizMaker and responsible for the accelerator.

In November, participants from the accelerator gathered together with leading actors in the forest industry to discuss key themes such as digital innovation and the future of forestry. Traceability was one of the most discussed topics, with contributions from Biometria, SkogForsk, Skogstekniska Klustret and the startup Original Creation - a former participant in the accelerator. They highlighted different perspectives on the new laws and business opportunities currently shaping the future of the forest industry.

- "It was really rewarding to meet this year's participants again and hear about how their concepts have developed during the accelerator. It was also exciting to learn how previous participants have fared," says Hans Johansson, Senior Research Specialist at SCA R&D Center.
