The startups that have participated in BizMaker's incubator and accelerator programs generate as much as 17 times the public funds invested - a figure that shows the impact innovation and entrepreneurship can have on Västernorrland's development.
In 2023, start-ups supported by BizMaker generated over half a billion SEK in turnover and employed 340 people. Through their tax revenues and employer contributions, these companies have contributed to resources that can be reinvested in the development of society, from municipal and regional levels to the state.

More effective business development
BizMaker's work is about supporting entrepreneurs and innovators to turn good ideas into sustainable businesses. Business development programs tailored to start-up journeys often significantly shorten the long journey from idea to success. Although it can take several years for companies to reach significant profits and start generating tax revenues, it is worth the wait.
According to BizMaker's latest ROI (Return on Investment*) calculation for 2023, the companies that have participated in BizMaker's incubator and accelerator programs since 2015 have generated 17 times the public funds invested. Moreover, these companies have a survival rate of 80%, a figure that includes both bankruptcies and liquidations.
