In Sweden, we are about 70 incubators and science parks that work together to best strengthen each other and develop Sweden as a country of innovation. Close relationships with other partners and a large contact network of specialists make BizMaker a resourceful sounding board for all innovators in the region.
About the service
The mission is about working with established business and public actors to strengthen their ability to grow, develop and drive innovation and change. You do this by shaping and further developing offers and processes that make this possible. You lead a small team with broad expertise where collaboration and mutual support are central. Together you drive change, collaboration and regional growth.
The role includes:
- Developing strategic networks at the interface of business, academia and the public sector.
- Participate in national and international networks to build relationships and project initiatives moving forward.
- Supporting change in both the business and public sectors.
- Coordinate and run development projects based on business and societal challenges and opportunities.
- Responsible for our growth program for micro and small businesses with the will to grow.
- Building relationships with businesses in the region to strengthen competitiveness and innovation capacity.
- Identify future needs related to sustainable development and the societal transition.
BizMaker is located throughout Västernorrland with environments in Härnösand, Ånge, Sollefteå, Örnsköldsvik and Sundsvall and consists of about 20 employees. As Business Area Manager, you are responsible for the Science Park operations and are part of the management team and report to the CEO.
The position is located in Sundsvall and involves travel in the county.

You thrive on both strategic and operational issues and can translate insights into concrete initiatives. Experience in innovation management, research and development, large corporations or publicly funded projects is an asset - especially if you are used to navigating complex systems. You have a broad network, are passionate about innovation and entrepreneurship, and see opportunities to connect people, businesses and resources.
