About the GDPR

GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation and is a new data protection regulation from the EU that applies as law in all EU member states from May 25, 2018. The law is designed to protect individuals' integrity and intends to modernize, harmonize and strengthen protection within the EU.

Each EU member state has a supervisory authority that controls this. In Sweden, this authority is called Datainspektionen. Their website provides more information and help, which you can access here.

what is processing of personal data?

Processing of personal data is everything that happens with the personal data. Any action taken with personal data constitutes a processing, whether automated or not, such as collection, registration, organisation, structuring, storage, processing or alteration, production, reading, use, disclosure by transfer, dissemination or otherwise supply, adjustment or aggregation, restriction, deletion or destruction. 

Bizmaker's processing of personal data

Personal data is processed by us only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes of the processing or to comply with BizMaker's legal obligations.

When using our website, personal data may be collected via e.g. cookies in order to learn more about our users. However, this is only done via a separate consent. In this case, information about your use and the pages visited is stored. This can be technical information about your device and internet connection such as operating system, browser version, IP address, cookies and unique identifiers. This can be done directly or through the use of third party technologies such as Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel. You can always view, block and remove stored cookies if you wish in your browser.

Emails/textmessages
Mission-related text messages and all emails containing personal data should be deleted at the latest after completion of the case.

Social media
We do not keep records or compile information about people who participate in any way in conversations on our channels. As a data controller, we are responsible for deleting any offensive posts.

Newsletter
Our external newsletter is sent out in order to promote our incubator companies and our activities. The legal basis for processing the personal data is a balance of interests, which means that we at BizMaker wish to maintain our contact with you via our mailings. If you do not want to continue to receive information from us, you can contact us as a personal data controller at any time to be deregistered from our contact register at personuppgift@bizmaker.se. All mailings also contain an unsubscribe link.

Event
When you register for one of our events, we collect your personal data (name and e-mail) in order to fulfill our commitments to you and to be able to communicate about the event, nothing else. The personal data is saved before and during the event and, in cases where the event is project-financed, is reported to a third party in the form of our financiers, after which the personal data is deleted from the event booking system. In cases where we take pictures during the event to use in our marketing on social channels, we always inform about it before/during the event. It is voluntary to stand in front of the camera and if you do so, you agree to participate in our marketing. In the event that you later identify yourself in any image we have posted (e.g. an overview image with several people, mingle image, etc.) and you do not want to participate, please contact us at personuppgift@bizmaker.se and request deletion.

Customers
BizMaker has different customer categories such as: idea owners, alumni, partners, financiers, private individuals or other stakeholders. In order to fulfill our mission, we need to process some personal data. BizMaker always processes your personal data in accordance with applicable legislation. We process your personal data when it is necessary to fulfill an agreement with you and when we have another legitimate and legitimate interest in processing your personal data, such as an interest in marketing ourselves to visitors on our digital channels. If BizMaker processes your personal data for any purpose that requires your consent under applicable law, we will obtain your consent in advance. 

Through our business incubator, we are required to report our results and certain information about our incubator companies to our financiers such as Tillväxtverket, Region Västernorrland and Vinnova. You always have the opportunity to waive the support or refrain from participating in the activities offered and then do not have to provide this information. After completing the incubation, you become a so-called alumnus and then we save parts of your personal data in our customer database to be able to continue to keep in touch and to be able to follow the development of your company. If you are our partner, financier or other stakeholder, we process the personal data we need to fulfill our commitments to you. 

Security for the protection of personal data

BizMaker ensures a high level of security for your personal data and takes appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, modification, dissemination or destruction.

BizMaker AB, reg. no. 556527-6176, with address Storgatan 73, 852 30 Sundsvall, is the data controller for the company's processing of personal data. 

your rights

You have the right to request a register extract of what data we at BizMaker process about you as a person and that data is corrected/deleted unless it is a necessary part of a decision-making basis or otherwise needed for us to fulfill our legal obligations. If you have questions about our processing of personal data, please contact personuppgift@bizmaker.se. You also have the right to file a complaint with the applicable supervisory authority at any time if you believe that your personal data is processed in violation of applicable personal data legislation. 

BizMaker may make adjustments to this personal data policy from time to time. The latest version of the policy is always available on our website.
