Last week, Pelle Berglund and Jonny Nissilä from BizMaker, together with around 50 other invited business developers from all over the country, attended the SISP network meeting held at CampX by Volvo Group in Gothenburg. The network meets regularly to jointly strengthen the innovation systems, both locally and nationally, and the theme this time was Specialized programs and incubators.
We are pleased that BizMaker was invited to present our Forest Business Accelerator program to the group, and we shared, among other things, how we tested and reworked the methodology and how we broaden the program to meet the green transition and development in Norrland.
- We received many good questions and valuable feedback. Several participants expressed interest in referring companies to the Forest Business Accelerator. This great feedback reinforces our pragmatic approach and our conviction that the program should be designed according to the individual startup's conditions and needs to be successful. We are also proud to offer an approach where the industry is involved in financing without taking part in the companies' ownership, a model that aroused great interest during the meeting, says Pelle Berglund, head of the Forest Business Accelerator.
The Volvo Group's startup innovation hub CampX showcased its open innovation model, offering startups access to resources and guidance from experts from VOLVO Group's own R&D department.
The model gave rise to fruitful discussions on the specialization of incubators in Sweden and interesting questions on how we can become better experts in promoting our startups.
- CampX inspired us a lot, both as an environment and a working model. We have received a real energy boost from the meeting and from the group's discussions on how we relate to innovation, to large companies that want to be at the forefront and to startups. We also see that the collaborations that are going on today and are successful are those that work for Sweden AB, and we will take this with us in our work in the future," says Jonny Nissilä.
Many thanks to SISP, CampX and all participants for the energy, ideas and future conversations!
