Collecct paves the way for circular transition through digitalization

Where others see waste, Collecct's founders, Daniel Pluntky and Martin Tengsved, see an untapped resource. Through their data-driven platform, they want to transform waste management into a truly circular system.

With extensive experience in the waste industry, they saw a strong opportunity to reimagine residual materials and waste, and two years ago they decided to go all in. Collecct is a digital platform that not only makes it easier for businesses to manage their waste, but also encourages them to see it as a resource. The goal is to create circular systems where materials flow between actors instead of ending up in landfills.

"The future is about utilizing resources, and that requires tools that simplify for both sender and receiver," says Martin Tengsved, co-founder of Collecct.

A unique data-driven approach to the circular economy

Collecct focuses on traceability, transparency and standardization in waste management. The platform brings together companies that deliver and receive waste and other types of residual products, facilitating a transition to more circular options.

What really sets Collecct apart is their data-driven approach. They offer a solution that logs and tracks every step of management, helping companies meet regulatory requirements such as CSRD - and freeing up time and resources for sustainable improvement work. In an industry where traditional recycling is often misunderstood as circular, Collecct wants to show that true circularity is about building a system where resources continuously flow between companies.

Industrial symbiosis with the Forest Business Accelerator

This autumn, Collecct participates in the Forest Business Accelerator to further develop its vision of circular economy through digitization. Together with the organizers BizMaker, SCA, RISE and IBM, the program gives Collecct a unique chance to immerse itself in the needs of different industries and create synergies through industrial symbiosis - something that Västernorrland offers great opportunities in.

-"We see great potential in industrial symbiosis, where residual materials do not become waste but can find new uses. By getting a foot into this area, we can better understand the challenges and see how our platform can connect different actors, says Daniel Pluntky, CEO and co-founder of Collecct.

Collecct has ambitious goals for the future. Within ten years, they hope their platform will be a global solution for circular waste management. By gradually expanding and building a strong customer base, they aim to create a digital marketplace for circular material flows - "an Amazon for residual flows," concludes Daniel Pluntky.
